Valley Subs of Arizona, LLC and Sub in the Sun, LLC DBA Jersey Mike's Subs (the�Company�).

Our Locations...

The combined LLCs operate 35 stores across the state of Arizona. Our clean and welcoming store interiors, fresh product prepared in front of our customers and our friendly banter between our guests and team members make our organization an exciting and vibrant company to be a part of. The quality of our product and the outstanding service of our teams, create a loyal customer base with solid repeat business. Not only do we make great subs, but we believe in making a difference in our communities. Giving is a critical component of the Jersey Mike's brand and every store we open partners with a charity in the local community. Not only that, but during the last Wednesday of every March, 100% of sales are donated to charity.

President/Owner... Duane Layton

Duane Layton has been in the restaurant industry since 1991 when he started out as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut. Over the span of 30+ years, Duane worked his way up from an hourly employee to his current position of owning 35 restaurants. He has worked in the food industry for large fortune 500 companies on both the corporate and franchise side of the business. Duane purchased 16 Carl's Jr restaurants in 2010 and sold them in 2020 to focus his efforts on Jersey Mike's expansion. In 2011, he started opening Jersey Mike's restaurants in Arizona and has since expanded his portfolio to include 35 restaurants with another dozen under development. His franchise is the 7th largest in the Jersey Mike's system. He prioritizes and surrounds himself with top talent from within the industry and as well as outside expertise. With his hands on leadership and dedication to creating growth opportunities for future leaders, the company will continue to grow and develop top talent.

VP of Operations... Dan Brown

Dan Brown joined the company in 2023 as Vice President with a proven track record of leadership and ability helping companies scale for growth. Most recently, Dan was a Director of Operations running 85 restaurants at Chipotle Mexican Grill in the Pacific Northwest. Prior to Chipotle, Dan spent 19 years with Arby's Restaurant Group working in both company and franchise operations. On the corporate side of the business, Dan oversaw 18 separate franchise groups, with over 120 restaurants as a franchise business consultant. Dan also worked in operations, working his way up from an hourly employee to Area Supervisor prior to being promoted to a franchise Business Consultant. As Vice President, Dan leads the operations teams by creating vision and direction for a rapidly growing company.

HR & Payroll Director... Jessica Coon

Jessica joined the Company in 2018 as an HR Manager and worked her way up to HR & Payroll Director in 2022. Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge to the company and provides invaluable advice on all compliance, Human Resource and payroll needs. Jessica has streamlined all back-office work for our general managers and simplified business processes to promote consistency across all stores. Jessica provides our managers with resources, relevant trainings, and development opportunities to enhance their skills as leaders within the company. Jessica routinely provides coaching and feedback on how to best align with business best practices, company policies and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Previously, she spent nearly 6 years at the University of Colorado Denver as an HR & Payroll Coordinator for the School of Education & Human Development.

2. No smoking in uniform, on the clock, or on the premises.
3. Strict piercing policy allowed while in uniform.
4. Limited neat facial hair.
5. Our uniform must be worn 100% in line with our standards.
